Philosophy of Ministry

“Living grace” is the root of God’s redemptive salvation and sanctification activity in the life of believers and society. “Living grace” is a primary characteristic for all ministries and is essential to interpersonal relationships. Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ, called himself a prisoner of Christ Jesus and rejoiced in the “administrations of God’s grace” revealed in this age by the Spirit to the apostles and prophets (Eph. 3:2). True apostles are the servants of the gospel according to the gift of God’s grace.

Apostolic Collaboration

Living Grace Ministries and Churches (LGMC) is an apostolic, relational, and functional sphere of five-fold gift ministry leaders and New Testament local church pastors committed to walk together in interrelating fellowship and apostolic collaborating. The purpose of Living Grace Ministries is to fulfill the Great Commission by equipping leaders, planting churches, mobilizing saints, and touching the nations.

Divine Empowerment

Grace is enabling empowerment for local church life and kingdom ministry. “Each one of us” functions according to the gift of God’s grace, grace received “according to the measure of God’s gift” (Eph. 4:7). “God gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:11). The secret and success of Christian ministry is the flowing of living grace, each living joint supplying to the whole body, joined and knit together, according to the effectual working by which every part does its share” (Eph. 4:16).

Relational Unity

At the core of Living Grace Ministries is a strategy of relationships. Love requires commitment and vulnerability, best achieved through relationships. We advocate the type of relationships that bring balance and produce freedom and truth. In the process, people are brought into conformity to the image of Christ. Fellowship based upon goodwill, what Jesus called “brotherhood,” is grounded in the principles of relational covenant expressing love, forgiveness, covenant, dialogue, and interactive teamwork. We avoid top-down institutional organization and seek bottom-up organic servanthood and horizontal community.

Functional Partnership

A tremendous challenge faces the Church of Jesus Christ. The Living Grace apostolic team desires to link arms with leaders on the frontline of service and battle. When humble and sincere servants of God walk together, they are mutually enabled to fulfill the Great Commision, disciple the nations, and build bridges to the future. Within the Living Grace fellowship of gift ministries, some serve as local church pastors, some serve trans-locally or alongside local churches, others serve regionally in special ministry teams, and some function in kingdom effectiveness in business and society-at-large. We invite you to embrace the relationships served by Living Grace Ministries.
